Andrew Hennigan
is an independent consultant specializing in professional
communications for organizations and individuals working in a
multicultural context.
Born in
England, he has lived for many years in Italy and France, travelling
frequently to other countries and working with a network of communications
professionals around the
world. He graduated from the
University of Manchester – the UK’s largest single university – after
studying Electronic Engineering and Management and has worked most of his professional
life in communications, management, education and consulting.
Before
creating his own consulting company, most recently he has managed the
communications team for a multi-billion dollar business in Italy and managed
training & development programs for a corporate university in
France. He has also taught
communications to MBA students at a major European university.
An
early adopter of new communications technologies he has pioneered both the
use of internet and later web 2.0 technologies in various positions,
delivering also seminars and workshops on the topic. He has also developed new
techniques for intercultural training and performance improvement,
introducing both an innovative approach and the use of wikis, blogs and
podcasts to streamline programs.
His professional
interests include marketing communications, management development,
branding & naming, web 2.0 techniques, intercultural
communications, professional networking, conflict management, public
speaking, media literacy and strategic communications
planning.
Fluent in Italian,
French and English, he is a firm believer in the value of language
learning and advocates ambitious goal-based intensive learning
